Only this weekend I saw a traditional and somewhat dull photograph of The Ridgeway published in a Wiltshire newspaper. I had pondered what shots might work better. This one definitely qualifies and also reflects a lot of the landscape which surrounds The Ridgeway. It embraces the minimalist in a landscape which can seem relatively featureless (unless you count a couple of white horses, a couple of castle placements and some ancient stones! 🙂 I think this is a great shot with wonderfully balanced composition. The dip in the landscape might be due to the erosion of chalk beneath the surface which could offer a clue as to the geology? Even if it doesn’t, I like that your photograph is about subtlety and contemplation. It gets a big thumbs up from me.
Cheers, Mr C 🙂
