I am a great believer in having several photographic projects active at any one time. That way if inspiration dips in one project there are plenty of other things to challenge me photographically.
Sometimes a project is conceived, executed and completed in a short period of time. An example being The Old Blind School where inspiration struck on what would be my only visit, I photographed in the afternoon and then returned home to process the images that evening. From inspiration to completion, with a little perspiration, in under 24 hours.
Other projects, such as In The Studio, formulate slowly and I have been working on this project off and on now for over a year. This project is ongoing but I am hoping that a book of this work will be available soon – watch the blog!
